We use only A-grade hides, chosen for a tight, even grain, and cut from the bend, the back and butt where the fibers are densest and tightest. Each hide is drum-dyed, so the color runs all the way through, not just on the surface. The leather is certified to Cuoio Superiore, our own leather standard.

Every model comfortably holds US legal-size documents (8.5 x 14 in) laid flat.

Body widths across the range measure 39 to 43 cm (15.4 to 16.9 in), all wider than the 35.6 cm (14 in) long edge of a legal-size sheet. Heights are 29 to 31 cm (11.4 to 12.2 in), taller than the 21.6 cm (8.5 in) short edge. Every product page also states "Fits A4 documents."

Which of these can be locked for confidential case files?

The No.1 is the only briefcase in this range with key-lock closure. The other three do not have a lock.
