• Full-grain leather from A-grade hides, so it keeps its refined look through years of daily use: we use the outermost layer of the hide with the natural grain preserved in full, cut from the bend (the back and butt, where the fibers are densest and tightest). That sets it apart from corrected-grain, split and bonded leathers.
• Drum-dyed, so the color runs all the way through: We drum-dye the leather, so the color runs all the way through it: if it's ever scuffed, the leather underneath is the same shade, not the pale mark surface-dyed leather shows.
