Regular Care
Monthly: Wipe away dust and marks with a dry cloth.

What to Avoid

- Over-conditioning.
After Rain
- Blot moisture immediately. Conditioned leather repels water better.
- Dry at room temperature.
- Apply cream only when fully dry and clean.
Storage
- Keep in a dust bag or dry place.
- Stuff with soft paper or fabric to maintain shape.
- Avoid direct sunlight and radiators.
- Don't leave hanging under heavy load for extended periods.
Patina and Natural Marks
Full-grain leather is natural. Minor tone variations and fine marks aren't defects—they're character. Over time, your piece develops a patina unique to how you use it.
Hardware
- Clean dry. No abrasives.
- Brass tarnishes naturally—that's normal.
- If hardware stiffens, clean and dry it. Use a tiny amount of neutral lubricant if needed.

FAQ
Is the leather waterproof? Leather repels water but isn't waterproof. After heavy moisture, blot dry and air-dry at room temperature. Never use heat.
Can color transfer to clothing? Rarely. Most likely with moisture, friction, and light fabrics. Avoid wet rubbing and pressure.
New leather smell? That's the natural scent of vegetable-tanned leather. It fades within a few weeks as the leather settles. Keep your piece in a dry, well-ventilated room to speed things up.
Fine marks and tone variations? Not defects. That's full-grain leather. Patina develops over time. Smooth light marks with a clean, dry finger.
How often should I condition? Every 1–2 months, depending on use and climate. Less is more. Only condition when fully dry.
How much cream? Very thin layer. The surface shouldn't feel sticky. If it does, wipe off the excess.
Does climate matter? Yes. Cold and dry—condition slightly more. Humid and warm—focus on drying and airing out.
Testing new products? Test on a small, hidden area first. Check for tone or texture changes after drying.
How do I care for the lining? Dry cloth only. No solvents or alcohol. Avoid sharp objects.
Can I store in plastic? Not long-term. Use a dust bag in a cool, dry place. Keep away from direct sun and heat.
