Von Baer designer duffel bags use A-grade full-grain leather cut from the bend of the hide, with signature hardware and a natural cotton canvas lining. Across the range, our duffles run from 2.2 kg (4.85 lbs) in the soft-sided Weekender to 4 kg (8.82 lbs) in the wheeled Voyager, priced from $1,495 to $1,695.

• Cuoio Superiore Certified Leather: Each duffel in this range carries Cuoio Superiore certification - an audited leather standard with laboratory testing of each batch and on-site tannery audits at least every three years. The audit covers full-grain status, the tanning process and ISO 14001 environmental compliance. We chose certified because self-declared leather grades carry no enforceable standard - just a brand promise.
• Signature Hardware And Precision Brass Zippers: Every lock, rivet, base foot and shoulder strap clasp passes four separate checks by four different teams. We hold hardware to that standard because in our experience hardware can fail before the leather does. The wheeled Voyager pairs that hardware with precision double-slider main zippers across the main compartment - known for their smoothness and durability.
