Can one bag hold a suit, a laptop, and your case files?

Yes, unless your files have to lock. Otherwise the bag needs three things:

• A padded laptop sleeve.
• A flat document section.
• A main compartment that's still within carry-on size.

And if you're packing a suit, that main compartment has to hang it rather than fold it.

But your airline caps the bag's size and its weight, and all three of those jobs have to fit inside that limit.

How much should a lawyer spend on an overnight bag?
